EQUIP Classes

Edmond

We believe that God’s church is a people of transformation. A people who are continually taking one step closer to Christ.

What is Equip?

The purpose is to help fulfill Ephesians 4:11-13.

11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to EQUIP his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. - Ephesians 4:11-13

We believe that God’s church is a people of transformation. A people who are continually taking one step closer to Christ. Not satisfied with where they were yesterday, and where they find themselves today, but always pressing forward, becoming more Christ-like everyday. Drowning in God’s grace and mercy, yet growing, being discipled, and striving to becoming everything that God is calling us to be.

Holy Spirit - The Spirit and the Believer

EDU. BLDG. Room C

The fundamental essentiality of the Holy Spirit is often missed in contemporary Christianity. In fact, the work of the Holy Spirit draws us to Jesus as He convicts us of our need for Him as our Lord and Savior. Then, the Holy Spirit equips us for living anointed lives as new creatures in Christ, full of authority, power and miracles through which each of us are to build His church in our communities and across the globe. This class will explore their person and ministry of the Holy Spirit and lead you to walk in His authority, power and gifts - for both the new believer and the Spirit-filled and empowered follower!

Is God Really Good?

EDU. BLDG. Room B

Is God in control of everything? Is God responsible for all of the terrible things that happen? Is God sovereign? We have all heard statements similar to, “God allowed me to break my leg so that I would slow down and rest.” and “God took my little girl. I guess He needed another angel in Heaven.” Let’s explore our belief systems, what religion has taught us, and what the Bible tells us about God’s nature.

Parable of the Sower

Parables…does anybody really understand them? Well, evidently Jesus did. The sheer number of them that He used verifies how important they were. Would you like to know more? Come join us as we attempt to unravel the “mysteries of the kingdom” as seen in the parables, and especially as we look at the Parable of the Sower.

Humility, Legacy and Leaders

Strong leadership requires humility. The humble leader will honor the legacy of those who came before, encourage his people to succeed, and respect the decisions of his peers. David Glass, retired Walmart CEO, and Don Soderquist, retired Walmart COO, share how they applied these leadership principles.
