Faith & Not Sight
DEVOTIONAL
WALK BY FAITH & NOT BY SIGHT
God has a plan; trust in Him. His ways are higher than our ways. He is not restricted to the laws of this world. Regardless of what things may appear to be, trust in Him. Choose to believe His Word despite what your logic may tell you or what your eyes may see. He knew you in your mother’s womb; He knows the number of hairs on your head; you are important to Him. Cast your cares on Him; trust Him with your heart’s desire. Step out of the boat and pay no attention to the water–just keep your eyes on Him.

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
“But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’ ‘Lord, if it’s you,’ Peter replied, ‘tell me to come to you on the water.’ ‘Come,’ he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.” — Matthew 14:27-29
PRAYER
Father,
This is the day You have made and I choose to rejoice in it!
Sometimes it can seem difficult to walk by faith because I get so fixed on my circumstances. Help me, Father, to believe and see You above the waves, above the doubt, above the worry, above the disappointments…You, Father, are Above All Else!
Thank you for loving me simply because I’m Your child. I am so thankful.
